The vampiric creatures began appearing, crawling from craters in the Earth. At first, no one panicked. The government and military had things under control. Then, on a Spring night, hordes of the creatures poured from the craters in the Earth, plunging the country into war with vicious, bloodsucking beasts.

Jamie Keefe and her sister come under attack on the night of the vampiric invasion. Jamie is tough and resilient. She finds a way to fight and survive the initial invasion. On a mission to help a teenage runaway, she meets up with a team of vampire vigilantes who rescue humans for the right price.

After joining the vamps, Jamie learns her companions are being hunted by forces not of this world. With her newfound crew, Jamie must face the dangers of a world where humans have become the hunted.
