Pitch as a SOLO CREATOR (making the entire comic by yourself), or as a TEAM (yourself including one or more additional team members). You are responsible for forming and managing your team.
Age Restrictions:
All participants must be 18 years or older.
Any story that is found to not follow our mission or values will be rejected with no explanation. We do not tolerate any forms of hate, bigotry, or racism.
Comics can be already completed, but must be previously unpublished stories of the horror genre.
Selection Process: November 25th 2021 – December 31st 2021
Comic Creation Period: January 2022-July 2022
Pre-Order/Crowdfunding Campaign: August 2022

Book Specifications (for planning purposes):
Comics should be 6 – 10 pages long.
Over-sized, specifically at: 6.69” x 10.24”
Color, B&W, or Grayscale are acceptable.

Rights:
Agreeing to participate means that you’re allowing Band of Bards, LLC. to exclusively release your story in Volume 1 of “From the Static – A Horror Anthology” via print and digital formats.
Ownership remains with the creators. The agreement duration is a full calendar year from the date of original publication. After the full calendar year, the owner may freely distribute and use the work(s) as they please.
Band of Bards, LLC. retains non-exclusive digital and physical re-print rights in perpetuity.
Compensation will be made to all creator teams after the successful pre-order/crowdfunding campaign.
After the printing goal is funded (including taxes and fees), 90% of any additional funding raised will be disbursed to the creators/teams.
Each individual creator will also receive 5 copies of the printed Anthology, and will be able to purchase additional copies of the anthology at 50% off of the cover price as long as it remains in print.
