Oops, my finger slipped!

I’m finding it difficult to verbalize all of the feelings that I’m experiencing right now, so bare with me. Where do I start?

Thank you for checking out Band of Bards! Today is Launch day, and we’re officially accepting Creator Submissions! For the last several weeks I’ve been thinking back to the first time Tim and I sat down to talk about this idea four years ago… we’re finally here. The last year itself has definitely opened my eyes. Being stuck at home in a worldwide pandemic gave me the time I needed to really plot out my goals and aspirations.. and try to overcome some serious bouts of imposter syndrome I feel I’ve struggled with for longer than I can remember. I’m not old enough to remember the Moon landing, but I can appreciate what they were trying to do.

It’s not easy to build something from just an idea. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not comparing starting a small business to putting humanity on our only natural satellite, even if sometimes it’s felt like mission impossible over here. The idea… that spark that ignites motivation. I feel it.

Today is a day to celebrate, and honestly I am just very appreciative that we are getting this opportunity. Taking risks can be overwhelming, and down right frightening… but I am so proud of everything we’ve done to get here, and I’m excited to see where we go.

Let me introduce myself, I’m Chris.

I didn’t have “Start a Comic/Graphic Novel publishing company.” on my 2020/2021 Pandemic Bingo card, but this is super awesome, and I’m the first one in line for the ride. Like my friend Tim, I recognize that there are a ton of great comics out there, by wonderful people who deserve to have their story shouted from the rooftops. We want to do that. Please let us do that!

In the coming months we’re going to keep busy. With hopes to launch our Podcast this summer, as well as looking out to our first official releases… I’m having a hard time containing myself.
