The Buffalo Idie Lit Expo (BILE) is an event filled with local and regional authors, artists, and creators. Presented by Buffalo-based Independent Publisher Band of Bards, it’s an event where creators can sell and promote their original works, and make a new connection with the community.
The event is free, open to the public, and ALL AGES!

Parking: 4 free surface lots and limited on street parking (free)
How much does the event cost? – FREE to the public
When do vendors check in? – Set up runs from 8:00 – 10:00. Vendors must check in, be set up and ready by 10 am.
What kind of vendors will be at BILE? – This is a celebration of all artistic mediums in Buffalo. You’ll have mixed media artists, prose, poetry, comics, food, and music.
Is food available? – There is an on-site restaurant (Manna) that should be open. That’s subject to change and outside of our control.
Vendors
What is provided to vendors? – an 8’x6’ space, table, chair, and water
Is there an electric hook up? – Limited number of electric hook ups are available. Please indicate if you’ll need one on your vendor application. They will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
Are any permits needed? – NO. Since this event is on private property no additional City of Buffalo permits/licenses are required. We checked with City Hall.
Do I need to collect sales tax? – Yes. All vendors will need to have and are responsible for obtaining a NYS sales tax certificate. Erie County sales tax rate of 8.75% should be collected on all sales.
